LA HABRA >> The Maranatha High School boys basketball team was just waiting for Tyler Dorsey to get on a roll.
The Minutemen senior finally got going in the second quarter and carried Maranatha to a 71-54 Olympic League victory over Whittier Christian on Tuesday night.
The 6-foot-5 wingman scored 30 of his game-high 43 points in the final three quarters, making 11 of 15 shots, including five 3-pointers. He shot 14 for 23 for the game with seven 3-pointers.
“When he’s feeling it, we just let him go,” Maranatha coach Tim Tucker said.
