Arcadia 9, Glendale 2 — AJ Jimenez was the winning pitcher, and Fernando Rosales had three RBIs and a triple for the Apaches (10-5-1, 4-1) in a Pacific League win. For Arcadia, Patrick Campbell had a double and John Woo had a triple.
Alhambra 14, Keppel 2 — James Giambalvo improved to 5-0, striking out five, and went 3 for 4 with three RBIs and a run scored to lead the Moors (10-4, 5-1) to the Almont League victory. Nick Giambalvo went 3 for 4 with three RBIs, three triples and three runs scored and Diego Sanchez went 2 for 3 with two RBIs for Alhambra.
Softball
Maranatha 11, Village Christian 1 — Michelle Lieng threw a complete game, striking out five, and Karen Lieng went 3 for 4 with two home runs, six RBIs and a double for the Minutemen (10-4, 1-0) in an Olympic League victory.
Pasadena Poly 8, Flintridge Prep 7 — Therese Oshiro struck out eight, and Natalie Dale went 4 for 4 with three RBIs, a triple and two runs scored for the Rebels (5-5, 2-2) in a Prep League loss against the Panthers (5-2, 3-0). Taylor Yoshida went 2 for 4 with a stolen base for Flintridge Prep.
Arcadia 3, Glendale 2 — Erin Gaspar was the winning pitcher and Madeleine Tse had the game-winning RBI to lead the Apaches (8-3, 4-1) to the Pacific League victory.
Boys golf
Pasadena Poly 208, Flintridge Prep 213 — Christian Henderson shot a 3-over 35 to earn medalist honors and led the Panthers (5-4, 3-0) to the Prep League victory against the Rebels (10-4, 1-2) at Brookside Golf Course No. 2. Flintridge Prep’s Jonah Sacks and Kartik Tandon and Pasadena Poly’s Manny Medrano shot a 41. Both Daniel Zhu (Poly) and Brendan Barton (FP) shot a 42.
Boys tennis
Arcadia 16, Glendale 2 — Nicholas Figueira swept in singles and the team of Cibi Pari and Ken Nakamine swept in doubles to lead the Apaches (13-0, 8-0) to the Pacific League victory.
Maranatha 17, Whittier Christian 1 — The Minutemen (9-3, 4-0) won nine of nine double sets against the Heralds. The winning doubles teams were Bryan Lin and Kelvin Ye, Nathan Shin and Drew Sierra and Joel Wunderly and Ethan Chee.
Boys swimming
Pasadena 92, Schurr 78 — Chance Woods won the 50 freestyle (22.77) and the 100 freestyle (51.87) and Ian Iverson Villanueva won the 500 freestyle (5:04.61) and the 100 backstroke (1:09.13) to lead the Bulldogs (5-2) to the nonleague win. The Bulldogs also claimed the 200 freestyle relay and the 400 freestyle relay.
Girls swimming
Pasadena 92, Schurr 75 — Mia Hepner won the 200 freestyle (2:01.68) and the 200 IM (2:29.60), Shannon Brierty won the 50 freestyle (26.91) and the 100 freestyle (59.71), and Isabelle Lepesant won the 100 butterfly (1:01.96) and the 100 backstroke (1:07.43) for the Bulldogs (6-1) in a nonleague victory. Michaela Salinas won the 500 freestyle (5:20.18) for Pasadena. The Bulldogs also won the 200 medley relay, the 200 freestyle relay and the 400 freestyle relay.
