La Salle High School baseball coach Harry Agajanian has decided to leave the program after a 10-year run.
Agajanian told the team of his decision after Wednesday’s 15-6 season-ending victory over Serra. The Lancers finished the season 10-14, 3-9 in Del Rey League play.
“It is 100 percent my decision,” Agajanian said. “I’m still an advocate for La Salle baseball. I’m very fortunate to ride my way out to the sunset. In most cases, you’re forced out not on your own terms.”
La Salle won two league titles in his tenure and had only two losing seasons. The Lancers went undefeated in the Del Rey League in his first year in 2006 and were co-league titlists in 2012. La Salle was 20-6 in ’06 and 19-8-1 in ’12.
He had a 151-116-1 record at La Salle. He said he is pursing other interests.
