Crescenta Valley 18, Arcadia 5 — Goalie Loreny Valdez had 12 saves and Katie Nigolian had three goals for the Apaches (6-6, 0-1) in a Pacific League loss. Lauren Sargent and Colleen Cook each scored a goal for Arcadia.

Girls basketball
Keppel 79, Montebello 21 — Sophia Song had 22 points, 11 rebounds and nine steals and Erika Sato had 10 points and six rebounds for the Aztecs (10-7, 1-0) in an Almont League victory. Katie Kuang had 10 points for Keppel. Montebello’s Kyannie Brown had six points.

Pasadena High School, fresh off its best season in school history, is not letting up. The Bulldogs, who went 19-2-3 and lost in the CIF-SS Division 3 semifinals, are off to another hot start.
They tied Monrovia, 1-1, and are undefeated in Pacific League play entering Tuesday’s game against Glendale.
