Mayfield 5, Maranatha 2 — Kim Spencer scored twice for the Minutemen in a nonleague loss.

Girls water polo
South Pasadena 15, Arcadia 2 — Hayden Carlson scored six goals and Sydney Shettera and Joell Osbourne both scored three goals to lead the Tigers in the nonleague game. Colleen Cook scored twice and goalie Loreny Valdez had 15 saves for Arcadia (3-1).

La Canada 51, Upland 41 — Alexi Nazarian had nine points and two steals and Tess Oakley-Stilson had nine points, four rebounds, two assists and two steals for the Spartans (2-3) in a nonleague contest.
St. Paul 61, South Pasadena 36 — Jurhandi Molina had 18 points, Valerie Godinez 13 points and Francesca Facchini 11 points for the Swordsmen (3-0) in a South El Monte tournament victory Wednesday.
Flintridge Prep 67, Holy Martyrs 35 — Renae Tamura had 18 points, Kaitlyn Chen 15 points and Taylor Yoshida 11 points for the Rebels (3-0) in a Providence tournament win Wednesday.

Boys basketball
San Marino 61, Providence 47 — Michael Shahan had 23 points, Andew Quach had 15 points and Chuma Azinge 13 points for the Titans in a Providence tournament victory Wednesday. Jadyn Torres had 10 rebounds and three points for San Marino.
Flintridge Prep 68, Aveson 36 — Jake Althouse had 19 points, Jonathan Le 17 points and Kendall Kikkawa 10 points for the Rebels (1-1) in a pool-play game of the Providence tournament Wednesday.
