Pets get foreclosure help
With the recent real estate downturn and many families facing possible foreclosure, the Humane Society of the United States has set up a new fund to help families with pets.
The society will administer grants from the Foreclosure Pets Fund for animal shelters, rescue groups, and animal control agencies to help families in caring for their pets during financial hardship.
Grants vary from $500 to $2,000.
