If you find Charlie.....
Charlie is a brown and white mixed breed dog who became separated from his owner when he got away from the LAX American Airlines terminal in Westchester.
He weighs 50 pounds, is about four years old and was last seen on Tuesday at the American Airlines Terminal. He is microchipped (#465E615944).
If you see him, call 1-888-HomeAgain (888-466-3242), which is Home Again's 24-hour recovery center.
You can also download the flier with photo to distribute.

Daily Breeze reporter Donna Littlejohn has shared her homes with a succession of wonderful, funny, and occasionally difficult canines -- Muffin, Fritz, Ellie, Mercy, Pilgrim and now Cowboy, an Australian shepherd-border collie, and Tess, a border collie. From strong-willed terriers to weirdly obsessed Australian shepherds, they've invaded her world with boundless energy, wet noses, muddy paws and soggy tennis balls. But they've really brought so much more than that -- like laughter and joy, some unexpected life lessons, and more than a few tears along the way.
Josh Grossberg grew up with the usual array of animals: goldfish, dogs, hamsters, parakeets and turtles. He now owns the loudest dog in the South Bay(
Excellent! That is GREAT news, thank you San Pedro Dogs!
I checked with Kristin, the Daily Breeze reporter who passed on the original notice to me for the blog, and she sent me a copy of an email containing this message from Charlie's VERY happy owner:
FIRST OF ALL A BIG THANK YOU TO THIS WONDERFUL COMMUNITY!
THANK YOU TO ALL THE PET LOVERS WHO TOOK THE TIME TO FORWARD OUR E-MAILS AND TO THE PEOPLE WE HAVE NEVER MET BUT WERE WILLING TO VOLUNTEER AND LOOK FOR CHARLIE.
THE OUTPOUR OF SUPPORT AND WELL-WISHES WERE JUST AMAZING. IT DEFINITELY HELPED US TO STAY POSITIVE THRU THIS WHOLE ORDEAL.
WE ASK YOU ONE MORE TIME TO FORWARD THIS E-MAIL TO LET EVERYBODY KNOW THAT CHARLIE IS BACK HOME!
BESIDES THE FACT THAT YOU ARE ABLE COUNT EVERY BONE IN HIS BODY, HE IS ALIVE AND SEEMINGLY HEALTHY.
EARLY THIS EVENING AN EMPLOYEE AT A DENNYS RESTAURANT (NEAR THE AIRPORT) FOUND HIM IN THE PARKING LOOKING FOR FOOD. I RECEIVED AN E-MAIL FROM A WOMAN WHO SAID TO LOOK NEAR THE AIRPORT, LOST PETS USUALLY STAY IN THE AREA WHERE THEY GET LOST! BOY...SHE WAS RIGHT.
AFTER A VERY EMOTIONAL REUNIFICATION WE GAVE HIM TWO CHEESEBURGERS AND A T-BONE STEAK (HE WILL PROBABLY PUKE LATER BUT AT LEAST HE GOT SOME FOOD IN HIS STOMACH). IN THE CAR HE CURLED UP AND FELL ASLEEP IMMEDIATELY (AND IS STILL SLEEPING).
LISA WILL CONTINUE HER TRIP TO BOSTON (LUCKILY WITH CHARLIE) AND THIS TIME HE WILL GET THE SEAT RIGHT NEXT TO HER!
IF I EVER SHIP MY DOG I WILL DUCT TAPE THE HELL OUT OF THE CRATE AND SECURE THE DOOR WITH A BUNGEE CORD AND NEVER USE AMERICAN AIRLINES! :-)
AGAIN, A BIG THANKS!
a very tired JULIA, a very happy LISA & an even more tired CHARLIE
I received an e-mail this morning that Charlie was found and is re-united with his owner
