Thou shalt not kill?

OK, since we're on a theme here ... I came home from church and spotted what looked like a dead squirrel in my backyard.

"The dogs finally got one," I concluded, gingerly heading out to get a closer look, bracing myself for the inevitable cleanup.

And then I saw the tag. Whew.

Turns out it was one of their (very realistic looking) stuffed toys. In fact, the carnage out there was really quite stunning. Here's the toll:

A cuddly lamb. (awwww)

And last, but not least, a sheep.

Those pictures made me laugh so much, milk came out of my nose. And I wasn't even drinking milk!

I especially love the way Mr Bunny is face down. Oh, the humanity!

About the Bloggers

Daily Breeze reporter Donna Littlejohn has shared her homes with a succession of wonderful, funny, and occasionally difficult canines -- Muffin, Fritz, Ellie, Mercy, Pilgrim and now Cowboy, an Australian shepherd-border collie, and Tess, a border collie. From strong-willed terriers to weirdly obsessed Australian shepherds, they've invaded her world with boundless energy, wet noses, muddy paws and soggy tennis balls. But they've really brought so much more than that -- like laughter and joy, some unexpected life lessons, and more than a few tears along the way.
