A new home for Quinn?
My friend Suzanne from Border Collies in Need is trying to find a new home for a very special dog, Quinn, a 3-year-old tri-colored Australian shepherd. Quinn is a lovely 3 year old tricolor female purebred Australian
Shepherd. Quinn lost her home through no fault of her own. BCIN was
contacted by another rescue on her behalf to see if we could help--after
seeing her, how can you resist? Quinn was well loved by her former
owners and lived as part of their human family. Quinn is just a joy to
have around, is a very loving and is an all around loyal companion--true
to the Aussie breed. She is very affectionate and wants to form a close
bond with her human. She gets along well with other dogs and is well
socialized at the dog park. Quinn is a dominant female, and would be
best placed in a home with a male dog. She also needs consistent
obedience, as she will manipulate and become alpha if you let her. She
could be adopted as an only dog, but she could be a boredom barker, so her human would need to work from home or take her to work. She is
bothered by cats (but will call off) and other small dogs, so I am
recommending a home without them. She is great with kids, having been
raised with 3 human children. Quinn loves to lay next to you and
snuggle while you watch TV, or just lay on the floor at your feet if you
are working. She rides well in the car, has good house manners, is
housebroken, has good recall, and is obedient. She is definitely a best
friend candidate and is a velcro dog. Quinn is such lovely dog and
would make a wonderful addition for your family.
If you are interested in adopting or learning more about Quinn, please

Daily Breeze reporter Donna Littlejohn has shared her homes with a succession of wonderful, funny, and occasionally difficult canines -- Muffin, Fritz, Ellie, Mercy, Pilgrim and now Cowboy, an Australian shepherd-border collie, and Tess, a border collie. From strong-willed terriers to weirdly obsessed Australian shepherds, they've invaded her world with boundless energy, wet noses, muddy paws and soggy tennis balls. But they've really brought so much more than that -- like laughter and joy, some unexpected life lessons, and more than a few tears along the way.
