I've never read that "Marley and Me" book. If you haven't heard of it, a re
porter adopted a puppy that turned out to be a lovable, yet destructive monster. Along the way, the reporter learned valuable lessons about love and life.

The book by John Grogan became a national bestseller and turned into something of an industry. There are Marley children's books and a Marley movie is coming out later this year.
Instead of going to council meetings, Grogan is now probably spending his nights dining with George Clooney, Sophia Loren and Nobel-winning scientists.
Me? I can't even get Mamie Van Doren to return my calls.
So here's my question: Why didn't *I* think to write that book? It should have been me! I have a good-hearted, yet maniacal dog! My dog ate the couch, destroyed the piano and annoyed my neighbors just like Marley. Why yesterday, he ran in the mud and then jumped all over my new white comforter.
I have the world's worst dog, not that other guy!
It's best not to think about such things.
But do you know what those people making Marley should do? Invite all animal bloggers to see it for free. That would make me feel a little less bad about how things turned out.

Everytime I hear about Marley I think of you and Rocket...LOL!! I haven't read the book but I'll probably see the movie.
It is a terrific book! When I was reading it I also thought of you and Rocket and your "adventures".
