What's wrong with being a dog?
Even taking into account that idiotic use of the word that is popular with "American Idol" hosts, there's nothing bad about being called a dog. Ok, it can mean lazy, or sexually obsessed, but really, are those such bad things?
People in India seem to think so. They're upset about the movie "Slumdog Millionaires." Well, not the movie so much (which I guess they are that too) but with the title. And just one part of the title.
Slum dwellers in Bihar's capital continued to protest Monday against Oscar-nominated film 'Slumdog Millionaire', demanding the film's makers remove the word dog from the title. The protesters said their sensibilities had been offended by the title, which they said was abusive of people who live in slums. The protests continued for the second day, even as Republic Day was being celebrated.
