From ESPN:

RICHMOND, Va. -- Imprisoned NFL star Michael Vick will be allowed to serve the last two months of his sentence under home confinement because there is no room at a halfway house for him, a government official told The Associated Press Thursday. Vick is serving a 23-month sentence at the federal penitentiary in Leavenworth, Kan., after pleading guilty to bankrolling a dogfighting operation at a home he owned in eastern Virginia's Surry County. He also admitted to participating in the killing of several underperforming dogs.

I hope Michael Vick hears a nasty chorus of "grrrrrr" in every dream.
Mean natured people harm dogs, wish we could find a cure.
and I wish I could administer the vaccine!!

If there is no room at a halfway house how about he spends the last two months of his sentence at the nearest animal shelter. He could scoop poop and assist in caring for the animals in other ways (under constant supervision, of course) and at night the could lock him in one of the dog runs with a sleeping bag. He might gain some understanding and empathy for the dogs who lived and died in such horrible circumstances on his property.

I think he should be training vicious pitbulls into pets......
the one thing we however need to make sure is that he will not ever again get a zillion dollar contract in the NFL...petitions are out SIGN THEM !!!

About the Bloggers

Daily Breeze reporter Donna Littlejohn has shared her homes with a succession of wonderful, funny, and occasionally difficult canines -- Muffin, Fritz, Ellie, Mercy, Pilgrim and now Cowboy, an Australian shepherd-border collie, and Tess, a border collie. From strong-willed terriers to weirdly obsessed Australian shepherds, they've invaded her world with boundless energy, wet noses, muddy paws and soggy tennis balls. But they've really brought so much more than that -- like laughter and joy, some unexpected life lessons, and more than a few tears along the way.

He spends his free time in dog parks, pet shops and always has an extra plastic bag in his pocket just in case. He also has a cat.
