Awww. An unlikely family
Lakota, a 7-year-old Australian shepherd, has taken over mom duties for a litter of kittens whose real mom was hit and killed by a car.
The dog and kittens are at the family farm of Colleeen and Robert Nesseth in Snohomish, Wash.

What a lovely picture! It reminds me of my sister's Australian Shepherd who took in her "sister's" litter of 10 bassett hound pups. Sally was a good mom, but Pepper was always there to help, even with my sister's kids when they were babies. Such a good breed! Thanks for sharing with us!
