At least it's not another bill
Got an email from Doug Epperhart of the Coastal San Pedro Neighborhood Council this morning that came with an attached cell phone shot of his cat.
Doug came back from a morning at the local Corner Store in the Pallisades neighborhood of Pedro to find Bojangles curled up in his mail box at home.
I think he looks quite dignified in his new cubby hole.
Here's some background information about Bojangles (which, accomplished & dedicated journalists that we are here at South Bay Pets, we managed to coax out of Doug):
"His name is Bojangles because he has six toes on each paw and we thought he might turn into a tap dancer. He came from the pound in San Pedro about seven years ago.
"He was fully grown then and the people at the pound estimated him at about age six, so he'd be around 12 or 13 years now. He's maybe the best-tempered cat I've
ever known. I've seen him walk up to strangers and flop down waiting for his
belly to be rubbed."I've also seen him share his catfood with a skunk. (He's
an outdoor cat. We don't let skunks in the house.) Unfortunately, I couldn't
get that picture."

Daily Breeze reporter Donna Littlejohn has shared her homes with a succession of wonderful, funny, and occasionally difficult canines -- Muffin, Fritz, Ellie, Mercy, Pilgrim and now Cowboy, an Australian shepherd-border collie, and Tess, a border collie. From strong-willed terriers to weirdly obsessed Australian shepherds, they've invaded her world with boundless energy, wet noses, muddy paws and soggy tennis balls. But they've really brought so much more than that -- like laughter and joy, some unexpected life lessons, and more than a few tears along the way.
