Pets get blessed, like it or not
Here's a video clip from last April's Blessing of the Animals at Los Angeles' Olvera Street. Some of the furry ones don't look all that thrilled with the ritual, especially when it came to getting wet.
We'll have a post up shortly letting you know where you can take your pets to be blessed here in the South Bay and Long Beach this weekend, which marks the St. Francis of Assisi Feast Day in some Christian church traditions.



Daily Breeze reporter Donna Littlejohn has shared her homes with a succession of wonderful, funny, and occasionally difficult canines -- Muffin, Fritz, Ellie, Mercy, Pilgrim and now Cowboy, an Australian shepherd-border collie, and Tess, a border collie. From strong-willed terriers to weirdly obsessed Australian shepherds, they've invaded her world with boundless energy, wet noses, muddy paws and soggy tennis balls.
