The cat who loved lizards

Ewwwww.

I could hear Annie the cat playing happily with something on the living room floor today. "Ah, she's found that lost milk jug ring to bat around again," I thought.

But as the play went on and on -- and on, I began to wonder ......

What in the world is holding her rapt attention for so long?

A bloody, still-moving lizard tail, that's what.

Wonderful.

Now where's the rest of the lizard?

Annie was upset that I took the new interactive toy away from her. But I figured I'd find the thing on my bed tonight if I didn't get it out of her razor claws and teeth and thrown away -- fast. And yeah, it was still (ever-so-slowly) twitching when I put it in the trash can. Ewwww.

She was so disappointed.

I know, I'm mean taking such a prize away from her. She's been pacing the house and "meowwwwing" ever since, in search of her treasure.

Let's just hope that if the rest of that lizard is in the house, she'll find it -- before I do.

Ewww.

What's up with cats bringing all their dead stuff inside? The first mouse or rat she hauls in here (especially if it's not quite "dead") will probably do me in.

Oh this is really gross and amusing all at once Donna! One of my relatives' cat used to hunt birds, lizards, or whatever else from their yard and bring them inside for her!!!!

You guys are scaring me.

The lizard is probably out in the yard growing a new tail. Wait until you find a bird flying around the house! Now that is entertainment!

Fluffy has brought home a lizard and/or a hummingbird every day for the last 3 weeks. It's Spring !!!!

I'll send Annie over if you'd like. :-) She works cheap.

Ewwww is right! Maybe it's the same lizard that was on my porch when I came home yesterday - 5 pm-ish. Hope we're not having a run of lizards!
