Border Collies in Need is sponsoring a "Dog Days of Summer" golf tournament to raise funds for
the rescue work.
Entry fee is $100 which includes 18 holes of golf, a barbecue lunch and a shirt.
The event will be held on Aug. 20 at the Indian Hills Golf Course in Riverside and early registration is encouraged as there is only space for a field of 144 golfers.

Daily Breeze reporter Donna Littlejohn has shared her homes with a succession of wonderful, funny, and occasionally difficult canines -- Muffin, Fritz, Ellie, Mercy, Pilgrim and now Cowboy, an Australian shepherd-border collie, and Tess, a border collie.
