Fiddling with cats, monkeys and McCain

McCain supporters at the Cat N Fiddle pub in Hollywood were thrilled when Fox News called their candidate the winner in California around 9:30 p.m. But their enthusiasm was somewhat upstaged by a roving band of animal characters filing into the pub.

Looking like refugees from Chuck E. Cheese, a giant monkey and a chipmunk tried to crash the McCain event, but were thrown out. "That was much more exciting than what was going on'' in the McCain party room, said Yvonne Elliott, a pub customer who voted for Obama in today's primary.
