A desire to bring back streetcars

| | Comments (0) |

Los Angeles Councilman Jose Huizar, who has been concentrating much of his efforts on revitalizing Broadway Street in downtown, is looking at a plan to try to revive the streetcar system in that part of the city.
Huizar has scheduled a session for Thursday morning among various agencies to look at how a modern streetcar system can be developed to connect several downtown locations from the Disney Concert hall to Staples Center.
Panelists will look at the impact on economic development and possible public-private partnerships.
