LAX ratings improve: Just average

Los Angeles International Airport has climbed from the bottom of the barrel to being considered an "average" facility, according to a J.D. Power and Associates airport satisfaction study released Tuesday. Art Marroquin in the Daily News.

Among 19 airports that were studied, LAX tied for 10th place - one spot better than last year - with Charlotte Douglas International Airport in North Carolina, according to the report.

LAX might not have been ranked as the best airport, but it also wasn't considered one of the worst. Just five years ago, J.D. Power and Associates listed LAX in 19th out of 20 airports across the globe.
