Looking for answers on water main breaks

To DWP officials, there is no shortage of ideas as to why Los Angeles has seen some spectacular water main ruptures in recent weeks.Daily News.

DWP General Manager David Nahai told the City Council on Wednesday his agency is prepared to look at all of them.

"At this point, theories abound," Nahai said. "A gentleman stopped me on the way to this meeting to push a particular theory he felt was the cause of the pipeline breaks. We will look at all of them."
