Nahai quiet on resignation, contract

ENCINO -- In his first public appearance since resigning, former Department of Water and Power head David Nahai on Thursday urged Angelenos to take seriously the water problems facing the city, but avoided discussing some of the controversies that have dogged him recently.Daily News.

Nahai, who abruptly resigned earlier this month, said he would not comment on his reasons for leaving the agency or the $82,000 consulting contract he received through the end of the year.
