New DWP ratepayer advocate plan
With public distrust of the Department of Water and Power growing, the president of the City Council introduced a new proposal Friday to provide additional oversight to the utility. Daiily News
Council President Eric Garcetti proposed the creation of a ratepayer advocate position at DWP, a plan he hopes to combine with two similar measures that were recently introduced by other council members.
"I think this focuses on what ratepayers are concerned about," Garcetti said.
