Career expo coming to Fairplex

The National College Resources Foundation will host its second annual Career Internship and Vocational Expo June 12.

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Fairplex, 1101 W. McKinley Ave. Building 3.

The free expo, being offered in partnership with the Career and Technical Education Center at Fairplex, will include seminars on topics such as resume writing, interview techniques, job etiquette and dressing for success. 
 
Representatives of several companies will be present offering information on internship programs and career opportunities. 
 
A scholarship contest will take place at the event. 
 
New Image Global, Inc is sponsoring the contest open to students enrolled in two- or four-year college.
 
Contestants will submit a 300-word or less essay on the topic of "Why Is This Scholarship Important To Me?" by 1 p.m. the day of the expo.
 
Winners will be announced at the expo.
