All-tournament selection Derrick Rodgers had 11 of his 17 points in the fourth quarter to help the Grizzlies (11-5) capture the title in their first appearance in the tournament with a win over the Wolverines (9-5).

UCLA-bound sophomore and tournament MVP Kendall Williams, who averaged 25 points and six assists during the tournament, scored 27 points while all-tournament selection Michale Blaylock received the honor for his defensive prowess.

Los Osos also defeated the 5th ranked team from Washington and the 4th ranked team from Nevada during the tournament.
