DESERT HEAT CLASSIC

The Grizzlies (10-5) knocked off the No. 5 state-ranked team from Washington, the Islanders (9-1) to advance to the championship game of the National Division at Cathedral City HS.
Los Osos was led by Kendall Williams’ 18 points and five assists while Mychal Blaylock added 10 points and seven rebounds while holding the tournament’s leading scorer to only 12 points.
Los Osos will face the winner of the Margaret Weslake-West Grove game for the championship at 8:30 p.m. today at Cathedral City HS.
