REV 83, REDLANDS 72
Redlands East Valley handed No. 1 Redlands their first defeat of the season with a 83-72 victory at the Terrier Gym.
The Wildcats (19-7, 10-3) came into the game as the guaranteed third seed in the Citrus Belt League while the Terriers (24-1, 12-1) looked to finish their first undefeated season in school history.
Redlands East Valley was down by 10 at one point and switched from a man defense into a 3-2 zone, which cooled off Redlands 3-point shooting (Redlands hit seven three’s).
The Wildcats outscored the Terriers 30-14 in the final quarter and went 30-of-34 from the free-throw line.
REV’s Jammall Clark scored 23 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, Robert Ellis added 22 points and eight steals and Trone Jackson added 18 and seven assists.
Redlands was led by Matt Green’s 19 point, including four 3-pointers, while Josh Green and Alex Wolpe added 14 apiece.
With the loss, Eisenhower and Redlands now face off for the league title on Friday at Redlands at 6 p.m.
Eisenhower 84, Fontana 64
Junior guard Andrew Bock scored 21 points and added five assists for the visiting Eagles (23-3 overall, 12-1 league), who led by 16 points at halftime.
Senior forward Kauri Black added 19 points, seven rebounds and two blocks in the victory. For the Rebels, Jairo Lopez led all scorers with 23 points and Larry Thompkins added 17.
Rialto 71, Carter 68
Xavier Reid made a free-throw to seal the Knight (10-16, 5-7) victory over the Lions (1-12).
Ryan Mosley scored 17 points, including three 3-pointers, and Byron Wesley, Jr. led all scorers with 19 points and grabbed nine rebounds.
Carter was led by Brandon Cannon’s 27 points, including hitting four 3-pointers, and Darawn Kennedy added 24.
