DIVISION I-A

Upland 53, Hawthorne 42
Danny Redmon had 19 points and six assists while Thomas Colbert had 11 points and 13 rebounds for the visiting Highlanders (22-6) in their first-round victory.
Kevin Bradshaw also had 13 points for Upland, which will play host to Riverside North in the second round Tuesday.

Etiwanda 66, Diamond Bar 43
Trailing midway through the second quarter, Etiwanda rallied and the second-seeded Eagles (27-1) blew out the Brahmas (15-15) in the second half.
Etiwanda, which got 13 points from Christian Katuala and 11 from Erick Ellis, outscored Diamond Bar 42-18 in the middle two quarters. Travis Hummel scored 13 points to lead Diamond Bar

DIVISION II-A

Eisenhower 75, Fullerton Troy 48

Alex Varner scored a game-high 26 points and made three 3-pointers in the first quarter to lead No. 1 seed Eisenhower to a 75-48 victory over Fullerton Troy in the first round of the CIF-Southern Section Division II-AA playoffs. <NO1>give the Eagles (25-3) a 13-point lead after a quarter en route to the victory<NO>
Eisenhower, which won its eighth straight game, saw its lead shrink to four points midway through the third quarter. But the Eagles outscored the Warriors by 23 points <NO1>down the stretch<NO>from then on.
Del Wilson added 13 points for Eisenhower, while Peter Abraham scored 18 points to lead Troy.

Valencia West Branch 75, Chaffey 64
With 16 points, Malik Bradley led five Wildcats in double figures as visiting West Ranch (19-8) won a first-round playoff game.
Warren Johnson led the Tigers (18-6) with 13 points, while Mauricio Aldaba had 12 points, 14 rebounds and five blocks for Chaffey.

Murrieta Valley 71, Ontario 41
Brandon Tuggle scored 15 points, and the Jaguars (9-13), the third-place team from the Mt. Baldy League, stayed with No. 4 seed Murrieta Valley for a quarter before falling in a Division II-AA first-round game.
The Nighthawks (25-2) outscored Ontario 23-4 in the second quarter, as the Jaguars went the final 6:33 of the first half without scoring. Murrieta’s Bryce Lenhart led all scorers with 20 points.

Roosevelt 64, Valencia 62
Tyler Slavin made a last-second layup to lift the Mustangs (16-12) to their first postseason win in school history to beat the host Tigers (16-11). Nate Primous and Sarunas Jackson each had 15 points for Roosevelt, which hit 16-of-20 free throws.

DIVISION IV-AA

Aquinas 74, Garden Grove Rancho Alamitos 59
Jordan Williams scored 23 points, had seven assists and six steals to lead the Falcons (23-3) to the quarterfinals with a home victory over Rancho Alamitos.
Courtland Wharton and James Albert added 15 points apiece for Aquinas, which overcame a 35-30 halftime deficit.

Capistrano Valley Christian 64, Loma Linda Academy 54
Thad Lowe had 13 points, seven rebounds and four assists but the Roadrunners (15-11) fell to the host Eagles.
Michael Giang added 10 points and three steals for Loma Linda Academy, who bowed out in the second round.

Ontario Christian 51, Huntington Beach Brethren Christian 50
Bobby Nigg made one of two free throws with five seconds left and the Warriors (18-9) missed the ensuing shot at the buzzer to give the Knights (14-12) a second-round win.
Nigg had 15 points and grabbed 16 boards while Ephraim Ekanem added 12 points and eight rebounds for Ontario Christian, which led 24-17 at the half.

DIVISION IV-A

Twentynine Palms 72, Granada Hills Hillcrest Christian 49
Montreal Harris scored 19 points and pulled down 14 rebounds to lead the host Wildcats (24-3) to victory in their first-round playoff game.
Gabe Cooper added 14 points, seven assists and seven rebounds for Twentynine Palms, which will play at Calabasas Viewpoint Christian on Tuesday.

DIVISION V-AA

La Verne Lutheran 84, Highland Hall 53
C.J. Cooper scored 25 points and grabbed seven rebounds as the fifth-seeded Trojans (25-0) defeated the Hawks.
Keith Shamburger got his second triple-double with 14 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists for La Verne Lutheran, which advances to the second round for the first time in three years.
The Trojans will face Murrieta Calvary Chapel at home , at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
