Brittany Vega went 2-for-2 with two RBIs and Marshean August went 3-for-4 with two RBIs, including a double and a triple, as the Eagles defeated Moreno Valley.
Patriot 6, Eisenhower 4
The Eagles (2-3) lost to the Warriors due to four costly errors in a consolation game.
Cassandra Vega (2-3) allowed only one hit and Marshean August had a two-run triple.
UPLAND TOURNAMENT
Diamond Bar 4, Colony 2 (6)
Alora Tejeda batted in a run to break a 2-2 tie in the fifth as the Brahmas (4-1) came back from a 2-0 deficit. Aylssa Eave tied the game with a two-run single in the third.
Ericka Miller picked up the win for Diamond Bar and was supported by Stephany LaRosa’s four singles.
Arrowhead Christian 6, Chaffey 4
The Eagles (1-0) defeated the Tigers (0-1) in the first round.
ACA scored three runs in the first inning with Courtney Fick hitting a two-run triple while Allegra Glaviano went 3-for-3 with two runs and two stolen bases.
NONLEAGUE
Aquinas 3, Pacific 0
The visiting Falcons defeated the Pirates (0-2) behind the efforts of Stevie Goldstein, who came in relief to strike out eight.
Pacific’s Samantha Johnson (0-2) also struck out eight in the loss.
Summit 22, Tahquitz 0
Sabrina Hartless and Alana Verzara combined for a no-hitter as the Skyhawks (2-0) pounded 20 hits and exploded for a dozen runs in the third inning.
Verzara paced the SkyHawks with three singles and a double while Gina Grijalva and Olivia Fimbres added three hits apiece for Summit, which had a total of six extra-base hits.
