Alyssia Palomino opened the Cats season with a two-hit shutout, striking out seven. She also had two doubles and a single, driving in three runs.
Alyssa Flores had two doubles and a pair of RBI while Jazzmyn Burrud and Marquis Lozya each had two hits.

Elizabeth Caporucio pitched a two-hitter, striking out 10, and was 3-for-4 with two RBI at the plate for the Fighting Scots (2-0).
Kelli Barta was 3-for-3 with a double driving in two runs for Rim, the defending tournament champions.

Delia Saucedo threw her first career no-hitter as the Spartans (1-0) defeated the Lions.
Saucedo struck out 10 and also drove in three runs for San G., which plays host to Rim of the World at 3 p.m. today.

T’keyah Boyd went 2-for-3 with two RBI as the Lions (4-0) defeated the Ravens in pool play at Highland Park.
Rebecca Creekpalm drove in two runs.

Kayla Uphold went the distance, striking out six, as the Steelers (3-0) beat the Bulldogs in the quarterfinals.
Nicole Soltis went 3-for-4 with two RBI and two runs for Fontana.
NONLEAGUE
Upland Christian 6, Webb 3
Bri Remlinger won in relief for Upland Christian (3-2-1) and Shannon Thompson hit a triple in the victory.
