Jonny Traber’s second double of the day, a two-out, two-run shot in the top of the 10th inning, gave Etiwanda a 7-5 win over Los Osos on Thursday, its first Baseline League victory.
Arman Valenzuela keyed a three-run seventh for the Eagles (5-3, 1-1) to force extra innings, adding a two-run double of his own. Joey Narez knocked Valenzuela in for the tying run.
Richard Brehaut had three hits, Jordan Dresner tripled and Isaac Galloway doubled for the Grizzlies (2-3, 0-1).
BASELINE LEAGUE
Upland 2, Rancho Cucamonga 1
Brian Kujundzich pitched a complete game allowing only one run with seven strikeouts as the Highlanders (8-0, 2-0) defeated the visiting Cougars.
Nick O’Loughlin hit a solo home run for undefeated Upland.
Alta Loma 18, Claremont 3
Austin Keenan had four hits and two RBI and Mike Able had three hits and five RBI to lead the Braves (5-1, 2-0), who play at Los Osos at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday.
Claremont is now 3-3 overall, 0-2 in league.
CHRISTIAN LEAGUE
Western Christian 12, Aquinas 5
Joe Bigler had two hits for Aquinas (3-3, 0-1), which plays Riverside Christian today at Packinghouse Christian Academy in the fifth-place game of the Mesa Grande tourney. Mark Reynoso had two hits for Western Christian (4-3, 1-0).
MIRAMONTE LEAGUE
Diamond Ranch 5, Bonita 3
Mike Vinnipsky went 2-for-3 with an RBI on his solo home run for the Panthers (2-4, 1-0).
Russell Allen went 2-for-4 with two runs scored for Diamond Ranch.
SAN ANDREAS LEAGUE
Pacific 6, San Bernardino 4
Junior right-hander Brandon Kinser gave up three hits and struck out 11 to lead the Pirates (1-3-1) to their first win of the season.
Pacific took the leqad for good with a run in the fifth as Jamal Jackson knocked home David Kiriakos with a ground out. Kiriakos, a shortstop, had two hits and two stolen bases. First baseman Johnny Brown also had two hits.
MESA GRANDE TOURNAMENT
Banning 8,Arrowhead Christian 3
Jovanni Nunez and Paul Miranda had two hits each to lead the Broncos (8-1).
Banning got consecutive home runs from Miranda, Sean Gould and Bo Harris.
Banning plays either Woodcrest Christian or Hesperia at 2:30 p.m. today at Soboba at the Oaks in the title game.
