JURUPA VALLEY TOURNAMENT
Pomona Catholic hit three home runs as the Pacers’ softball team downed Redlands East Valley 7-5 in a consolation semifinal of the Jurupa Valley Tournament on Saturday.
Tori Sadlak was first with her solo shot and had seven strikeouts earning the win for Pomona Catholic (2-7). Brianna Marcantoni hit a three run home run followed by the last solo by Shelby Reis.
REV’s Danielle Torres went 2-for-3 with a pair of RBI.

Claremont 3, La Puente 0
Junior Lili Caughman pitched a one-hitter and struck out nine to lead the Wolfpack (2-9) past La Puente at Las Flores Park. The only hit she allowed was a leadoff triple in the first.
The offense was balanced with senior shortstop Vivian Serna collecting a hit and a walk and scoring twice. Caughman and Ryann Woodward had RBI with the other run coming home on a wild pitch.
Claremont opens Baseline League play at home Monday against Alta Loma at 3:15 p.m.

Christine Stubblefield and Nicole Haley had RBI singles in a three-run second inning, and the Bulldogs defeated the Sharks, who were preseason ranked No. 2 in the country by studentsportssoftball.com. Katie Muscente homered in the sixth inning for Santiago.
Ayala 7, Sparks (Nev.) Spanish Springs 3
Nani St. Germain hit two home runs and Amy Ricciardi and Taylor Green also homered to lead the Bulldogs (6-2-1) to victory. St. Germain drove in three runs and earned the save by pitching the final three innings.
