SOFTBALL
SUNKIST LEAGUE
Kaiser 11, Patriot 1
Junior centerfielder Marquis Lozoya went 3-for-4 with two doubles, a home run, four RBI and three runs scored to lead the Cats past the Warriors in a game shortened to five innings by the mercy rule.
Kaiser (7-4, 2-0) also got a 2-for-3 effort with a triple and three RBI from senior shortstop Vanessa Lenart.
Winning pitcher Lizzy Pulido (4-1), allowed just three hits and struck out five.

Summit 5, Jurupa Valley 0
Gina Grijalva went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and hit a triple in the Skyhawks (6-2, 1-1) shutout of the Jaguars.
Freshman Brittany Dunn (4-0) only gave up three hits with five strikeouts in her third shutout of the season for Summit.

CITRUS BELT LEAGUE
Rialto 2, Miller 0
Bree Evans struck out 10 and didn’t allow a runner to second as the Knights (1-1) beat the Rebels (0-2) for the first time since 2005.
Jessica Lemus had a two-run single for Rialto.
Carter 6, Eisenhower 1
Alicia Wilson, Rachael Varela and Erika Arvizo all had two hits for the Lions (7-6, 1-1) and Taylor Romo had three hits. Arvizo had a home run among her hits and two RBI. Kayla Alfaquir threw a three-hitter for the Lions, with Jackie Martinez managing two of those hits for Eisenhower (1-7, 0-2). Alfaquir struck out six and walked four.

BASELINE LEAGUE
Claremont 6, Rancho Cucamonga 5 (10)
Kristi Munoz singled home Kelliner Croushore in the 10 inning to give Claremont (3-11, 1-2) an upset win over the Cougars (7-6, 1-2).
Croushore and Munoz were each 2-for-5 with an RBI. Due to international tiebreaker rules, Croushore began the bottom of the 10th on second base. Munoz, the first batter of the inning, drove her in.

MT. BALDY LEAGUE
Chaffey 4, Ontario 2
Syvannah Kooyman <NO><NO1>had seven strikeouts for the Tigers (5-3, 4-0) over the Jaguars. Lani Mataele drove in a run on her triple and scored once for Chaffey.
