Sophomore Christina Castro doubled home Alyssa Rivera with one out in the bottom of the seventh for the deciding run. Rivera had reached on a single and advanced to third on a single by Nicole Soltis.
Kayla Uphold overcame the flu and picked up the win in the circle.
Senior Erin Fernandez went 3-for-4 and senior Kim Endean stroked a two-run home run in the first inning.
Miller 2, Yucaipa 0
Gabbi Moet hit a pinch-hit double in the bottom of the sixth, bringing in Emily Kakuska and Audriana Gutierrez, to lead Miller (8-6, 1-2) past Yucaipa (8-5, 2-1). Miller pitcher Amber Berg gave up just three hits while striking out five and allowing no walks.
Both teams play at home on Friday at 3:15 p.m., Miller against Carter and Yucaipa versus Redlands.
Rialto 9, Carter 1
Jessica Lemus, Allison Muhar and Marrisa Amaya each had two hits and knocked in a total of six runs to lead the Knights (7-7, 2-1) past the rival Lions (1-2).
Bree Evans fanned seven and also had three hits in the victory.
Redlands 3, Eisenhower 0
In her first varsity game, freshman Kendall Apodaca surrendered three infield singles and struck out eight as the Terriers (11-1, 3-0) blanked the Eagles.
Ike loaded the bases in the fourth, but Apodaca retired the next three batters to keep the game scoreless. Kim Bruins and Jessica Garcia each had two hits for Redlands.
SUNKIST LEAGUE
Bloomington 8, Summit 1
Anessa Young went 3-for-4, falling a homer short of the cycle for the Bruins (10-5, 3-0). Brittney Guzman went 3-for-4 with a RBI double for Bloomington.
SAVANNAH TOURNAMENT
Pomona Catholic 4, Savannah 2
Catcher Niki DeRossi had a two-run single to trigger a four-run outburst in the second inning as the Pacers (4-9) defeated the host school.
Toro Sadlak fanned six in the victory.

Orange Lutheran 16, Yucaipa 0
Gerrit Cole allowed just one hit and struck out 13 in six innings for Orange Lutheran to get the win. He was clocked in the mid-90s, Yucaipa coach Jeff Stout said.

Bloomington Bruins downed Norte Vista on 3/27/08 by a score of 15-0. Contest was stopped in the fifth due to the run rule. Anissa Young went 3-3 in the game hitting two home runs one being a grand slam giving her six rbi's in the game. Arielle Johnson also went 3-3 and Michelle Carranza went 3-4. Anissa Young's overall batting aveage is .786 with 31-RBI's, 7-Doubles, 2-Triples, 7-home runs. OBP .632 Slg 1.212
