CATS ADVANCE TO I.E. SEMIFINALS

Kaiser 13, San Gorgonio 12
Kaiser built an early lead but had to hang on for a 13-12 victory or San Gorgonio in the second round of the Inland Empire Tournament on Monday as the Spartans rallied for six runs in the seventh inning.
Kaiser (11-2) had a seven-run fourth sparked by two-run doubles from Troy Burrad and Jasper Ramirez and a run-scoring single by Lavelle Mann. Mann was 3-for-4 on the day.
Nick Huesterberg went 3-for-4 with three runs scored for the Spartans. Kaiser now meets Pacific today in the semifinals.

INLAND EMPIRE TOURNAMENT
Cajon 3, Rancho Verde 0
Justin Martinez drove in every Cowboy run in ther second round victory over the Mustangs (4-9). The bullpen of Mike Finnigan and Tanner Clark combined to throw a three-hit shutout for Cajon, which meets Carter today at 3 p.m. at Cajon (11-2).

Carter 8, Eisenhower 1
Senior Doug Conrado threw a complete game two-hitter with nine strikeouts for the Lions (10-5) over league and city foe Eagles in a nonleague second round game.
Charles Kelly drove in three runs with his triple for Carter which plays in the semifinals at Cajon today at 3 p.m.

Fontana 4, Vista Del Lago 1
Adam Huizar (2-2) pitched a three-hitter, striking out 10 and walking three to lead the Steelers (4-6) to a consolation bracket victory over the Moreno Valley at San Gorgonio High School. Jesse Martinez and Ramon Ramos each had a pair of hits for Fontana.

Pacific 4, Rialto 2
Donnie Brown and Beto Espinoza batted in runs in the fourth inning to put the Pirates (3-8-1) ahead of the Knights to stay.
Chase Phillips doubled and homered for the winners, who will face Kaiser today in the semifinalsat 11 a.m. at home.

BASELINE LEAGUE
Alta Loma 10, Claremont 1
Colby Gurnie threw six innings of three hit ball with no earned runs for the Braves (10-3, 3-2). Austin Dossey went 3-for-4DRIVING in a pair of runs.

MIRAMONTE LEAGUE
Diamond Ranch 5, Los Altos 2
Winning pitcher Gus Lanuza struckout eight in five innings before Harris Burnett saved the game with four strikeouts in the final four innings for Diamond Ranch (7-6, 3-0).
With the Panthers leading Los Altos (4-10, 2-2) 3-2, Harris hit a key two-run single in the sixth. Diamond Ranch’s Nick Greene went 3-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored.
