CITRUS BELT LEAGUE
Miller 2, Redlands 1
Ricky Plascencia sparkled for the Rebels (4-9, 2-3) on the mound, pitching a complete-game four-hitter. He struck out 10 without a walk and went 2-for-3 with a run at the plate.
The Terriers fell to 9-6, 1-3 with the loss.
Rialto 5, Eisenhower 2
Erik Valtierra hit a two-run double to fuel a five-run second inning for Rialto (11-5, 4-1).
Xavier Delacruz (4-2) pitched a complete game six-hitter for the Knights.
Eisenhower (2-13, 0-4) scored both its runs in the seventh inning.
Redlands East Valley 8, Carter 1
Tyler Chatwood went 3-for-4 with a double and a triple and struck out nine on the mound for the Wildcats (14-2, 4-1). Jeremy Perez also had a double and a triple for REV, while Eric Young tripled and knocked in two runs.
The Lions fell to 9-7, 2-3.
Yucaipa 14, Fontana 4
Wyatt Padgett went 3-for-4 with three RBI and two runs scored for Yucaipa (12-4 4-1), which ballooned its lead from three to 10 with a seven-run sixth inning.
Matt Marnati went 2-for-3 with two RBI for the Thunderbirds.
Fontana (5-9, 2-3) scored three in the second to pull within two runs, but was held scoreless the rest of the way.
MOJAVE RIVER LEAGUE
Sultana 6, Serrano 3
Sam Ward hit a two-run homer and had a double for Sultana (11-4, 3-2) in its win against the Diamondbacks. Mike Miersch had seven strikeouts in the Sultana’s victory.
Dean Fouse hit a two-run homer and pitched a complete game with seven strikeouts despite the loss for Serrano.
MT. BALDY LEAGUE
Montclair 13, Ontario 2
Jeremy Weber hit for the cycle for the Cavaliers (6-10, 2-4), going 4-for-5 with five RBI. Drew Orantes went 4-for-4 with a homer, double and three runs scored, adding four RBI against the Jaguars (2-10, 1-5).
SIERRA LEAGUE
Ayala 3, Chino 2
The Bulldogs (9-7, 2-4) notched a big road victory thanks to a home run by Alex Toy, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Richard Perry pitched a complete-game six-hitter to move his record to 5-1.
The Cowboys (11-6, 3-3) got a home run from Kyle Mutter.
Damien 6, Chino Hills 4
Dustin Dworak, who went 2-for-2, hit a three-run home run to give Damien a 4-1 lead in the third inning.
Chino Hills (12-6, 4-2) couldn’t overcome a deficit that grew as large as 6-1.
Danny Pertusati went 3-for-4 with three runs scored for Damien (10-6, 2-4), which has split two games with the Huskies heading into Friday’s rubber match.
SUNKIST LEAGUE
Kaiser 12, Bloomington 1
Troy Burrud went 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored in the Cats’ (10-4-1, 5-1) trouncing of the Bruins. Mike Lopez followed up with three RBI on a bases-clearing double and also scored twice for Kaiser.
