BASELINE LEAGUE
Etiwanda 2, Los Osos 1
Facing a full count with two outs in the seventh inning, Alyssa Calderon hit a two-run home run to lift Etiwanda (13-3, 4-1) over Los Osos (10-4, 3-3).
Etiwanda pitcher Maggie Karros’ only allowance was an unearned run in the second inning on a throwing error following a double for Los Osos’ Brianna Meyer.
Karros (10-3) allowed just two hits in a complete game, as did Los Osos starter Erin Wesley.
Upland 5, Rancho Cucamonga 4
Alexa Andersen went 3-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored for the Highlanders’ (11-3-1, 4-1) victory over the Cougars.
Rancho Cucamonga almost mounted a comeback in the seventh scoring two runs in the top of the inning off a two run homer by Adrienne Monka.
CITRUS BELT LEAGUE
Redlands 2, Miller 1 (11)
Jessica Garcia’s one-out squeeze bunt in the bottom of the 11th scored Michelle Sullivan from third to keep the Terriers (14-2, 5-0) undefeated in league play.
Jessica Alvarado made a diving catch in the top of the 11th to save two Miller (9-7, 2-3) runs.
Fontana 3, Yucaipa 0
Kim Endean, Alyssa Rivera, and Courtney Dash all doubled in the top of the eighth inning and all drove in a run for the Steelers (11-4, 4-1) in their league victory.
Kayla Uphold pitched a complete game allowing just two hits with no walks and five strikeouts for Fontana.
Redlands East Valley 5, Carter 3
Reylene Coronado recorded a complete game for the Wildcats (8-7, 3-2), while Kayla Alfaquir and Trenice Veradle homered to lead the Lions (7-9, 1-4).
MT. BALDY LEAGUE
Montclair 5, Ontario 3
Liz Castaneda hit a three-run home run and pitched a complete game for the Cavaliers (6-10, 2-4) as they defeated the host Jaguars.
Vivian Young drove in all of Ontario’s runs with her pair of homers.
SIERRA LEAGUE
Ayala 5, Chino 1
Nani St. Germain provided the key hit of the game, a two-run triple in a four-run third inning Ayala (13-7-1, 1-0) entered with a 1-0 lead.
Ayala’s Mary Massei went 3-for-3 and Jessica Hall, who scattered six hits, walked two and struck out four, singled in St. Germain in the third inning.
Chino (10-9, 0-1) scored its lone run in the seventh.
CITRUS BELT LEAGUE
Rialto 5, Eisenhower 3
The Knights (8-8, 3-2) scored four runs in the fourth to overcome a 2-0 Eisenhower (4-12, 0-5) lead in support of winning pitcher Bryanne Evans, who finished the game with three hits, including a solo homer.
Batterymate Jessica Lemus added three hits for the Knights, who scored the four runs on a passed ball, a walk and a fielder’s choice.
