Langwasser's WALK-OFF GRAND SLAM GIVES HUSKIES LEAGUE TITLE.
Kenny Langwasser hit a walk-off grand slam, clinching the Huskies' first Sierra league title in the school's five-year history by defeating Chino 8-4.
Travis Mosler earned the victory in his one inning of relief, improving his record to 4-2. Phil Hollinsworth drove in two runs on his double in the seventh for the newly crowned Sierra League champions.
Chino can still clinch a playoff spot if it defeats Chino Hills Thursday at Chino.
CHRISTIAN LEAGUE
Ontario Christian 10, Loma Linda Academy 1
Bobby Nigg struck out eight and scattered nine hits to get the complete game victory for the Knights (16-10, 7-4). Freshman Jordan Kloosterman was one of five Ontario Christian players with two hits, helping overcome Loma Linda (5-17, 0-11).
MAJESTIC LEAGUE
Packinghouse Christian 16, The Grove 2
Sean Corrigan went 3-for-3 with three RBI as the Bears (10-6, 5-0) clinched a share of the league title in a mercy-rule win.
Matt Mielak (3-1) pitched all five innings, striking out seven Grove (4-7, 0-5) batters. Packinghouse hosts Lake Arrowhead Christian (4-1 league) today in the regular-season finale.
Covina Charter Oak 6, Diamond Ranch 3
Noah Northrop scattered eight hits for Charter Oak (12-10, 7-4), which clinched second place in the league with the victory.
Jericho Kelsey and pitcher Nick Greene (3-4) had RBIs for Diamond Ranch (12-11, 6-5), which settled for third place in league but is advancing to the CIF-SS baseball playoffs for the second time in school history.
MT. BALDY LEAGUE
Montclair 12, Chaffey 1
Jeremy Weber went 4-for-4 with six RBI and threw a no-hitter for the Cavaliers (7-12, 4-10) in their win over the Tigers. Weber also scored two runs and struck out five.
Garey 9, Colony 2
Manny Romero (6-1) limited the Titans to three hits over seven innings, striking out nine against three walks, to help Garey (13-7-2, 11-3) lock up second place in league.
Jerry Ramos went 3-for-4 with three RBI and Alfred Ramirez went 2-for-3 with three RBI for the Vikings. Colony (13-11, 10-4) hosts a rematch of the teams at 3:15 p.m. Friday.
Don Lugo 14, Ontario 0
R.J. Bokleman and Charlie Hinojosa each hit their fifth home run of the season in the home finale for the Conquistadores (19-5, 13-1).
Seniors Omar Castro, Mike Alton and Mike Frazier all finished with two hits for Don Lugo, with Alton and Frazier adding home runs.
SAN ANDREAS LEAGUE
Colton 5, San Bernardino 4
Trailing 4-3, Colton's Chris Placencia smacked a bases-loaded, walk-off double with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning, keeping the Cardinals (0-14 league) winless on the season.
Nick Sanchez went 2-for-2 with a run scored, and Ben Machado went 2-for-4 and scored a run for the Yellowjackets (7-17, 6-8).
Nathan Nelson and Donald Garcia each went 2-for-4 for San Bernardino.
Ayala 9, Diamond Bar 5
Mike Rowland and Ethan Miller each drove in two RBI to help the Bulldogs (14-10, 7-7) defeat the Brahmas (6-8 league) still trying to hold on to the third place position in a game with playoff implications.
Kevin Cho scored twice and drove in a run for Ayala, which plays host to Diamond Bar Thursday.
Damien 10, Glendora 0
Tony McClendon hit a solo homer to spark a rally and break a tie in the third inning to lead the Spartans (16-8, 8-6) past the Tartans (6-8 league). McClendon also had two doubles for Damien and scored twice.
Darrin Dworak drove in two RBI and scored twice for second-place Damien.
VICTORY LEAGUE
Bloomington Christian 17, Redlands Adventist Academy 2 (5)
Jorge Pena and Curtis Holthaus equally divided six hits and six RBI as the Ravens (15-6, 9-2) remained in the running for the league title with a 10-run third inning against the Bulldogs (17-5, 6-5).
Charles Fortis had three of the Ravens' 17 hits in support of winning pitcher Eddie Matos (8-2).
Upland Christian 7, La Verne Lutheran 0
Matt Johnston threw a complete game no-hitter, striking out seven batters for the Eagles (14-10, 11-0).
Matt Proulx hit a three-run home run for Upland Christian.
NONLEAGUE
Aquinas 17, Webb 0
<MC>Taylor Marriman went 2-for-3 with three RBI and three runs scored to lead the Falcons (14-10) past the host Gaels. Patricio Martinez hit a two-run homer for Aquinas and scored twice.
The Falcons now await the CIF-SS Division V playoffs, with their opponent to be determined.
