SENIOR KNIGHTS PREVAIL OVER FALCONS.

Alana Rodriguez went 2-for-3 and Morgan Marcos went 2-for-4 as the two seniors led the Ontario Christian softball team to a 5-3 win over visiting Aquinas on Senior Day.
Knights pitcher Lexi Thomas (11-10) picked up the win, allowing five hits and striking out nine as Ontario Christian (12-14 overall, 6-3 Christian League) broke a second-place tie in the league standings with the Falcons (17-7, 5-4).
Brittni Hernandez doubled in the loss for Aquinas, which ends its season at home against Pomona Catholic at 3:45 p.m. Thursday. Ontario Christian ends its season at Loma Linda Academy at the same time.


ARROWHEAD LEAGUE
Upland Christian 15, La Verne Lutheran 3
Tera Abbott hit for the cycle and battted in two runs as the Eagles (18-7-1, 9-0) scored in all but one inning against the Trojans (8-8, 4-5).
Kylie Edgemon collected a triple and homer with three RBI among her four hits, and Brei Remlinger added three hits. Shannon Thomas also homered for Upland Christian.

CHRISTIAN LEAGUE
Arrowhead Christian 8, Loma Linda Academy 5
Courtney Fik went 3-for-4 with three RBI and scored twice for the host Eagles, who broke open a tie game with five runs in the bottom of the fifth inning.
Lily Daniels finished 2-for-4 with two RBI for ACA (4-5 in league).

Pomona Catholic 4, Western Christian 3
Tori Sadlak drove in the game-winning run with a double in the bottom of the seventh as the first place Pacers (16-11, 9-0) defeated the Lancers. Sadlak also earned the victory in the circle, striking out seven for Pomona Catholic.
The Christian League champions have one game remaining until the start of the playoffs.

DE ANZA LEAGUE
Big Bear 9, Yucca Valley 7
Brittney Holden had two two-run homers, including a go-ahead dinger in the sixth, to lead the Bears (15-7, 12-0) to a regular season-ending victory over the visiting Trojans.

MT. BALDY LEAGUE
Colony 17, Garey 0
Kimberly Tagami struck out seven, only allowing four hits in her shutout win for the Titans (15-7, 8-7).
Sabrina Cavanaugh went 3-for-4 with a triple and two doubles, driving in two runs and scoring twice.

MOJAVE RIVER LEAGUE
Rim of the World 4, Hesperia 3
Freshman Elizabeth Caporuscio, who had hit a school-record fifth homer in the second inning, singled home the winning run for the Scots (18-1, 11-0) in the sixth against the Scorpions (15-8, 7-4).
Winning pitcher Erica Prentice, whose 17-0 mark is another school record, tied the game when she was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the sixth. That allowed Rim to overcome a two-run homer by Toni Schurtliff in the fifth.
Caporuscio had three hits and Kat Kolde added two for Rim, which wrapped up its first league title since 1987 last week.

SAN ANDREAS LEAGUE
Cajon 16, San Gorgonio 0
The Cowgirls (19-6, 13-1) wrapped up their sixth league championship in seven years by scoring in all seven innings and riding the two-hit pitching of Sharon Estrada and Terilyn Baude, who combined for 11 strikeouts against the Spartans (11-11, 9-5).
Alex Mitchell had four hits for the Cowgirls and batted in five runs, while Estrada also collected four hits with three RBI. Lindsey Kent added a homer for Cajon.
Breja'e Washington, who had three hits, stole three bases to increase her season total to 34.

Arroyo Valley 11, Pacific 4
Chelsea Parker doubled and homered for two of her three hits and batted in two runs as the Hawks (4-16, 1-10) won their first league game by beating the Pirates (5-16, 3-11).
Sandy Thur collected two hits for the Hawks, who broke open a 2-1 game with four runs in the fourth and five in the last two innings. Nicole Mitchell added a two-run home run and Alex Ruvio drove in two runs for Arroyo Valley.
Dalia Dena had two hits for Pacific.

SIERRA LEAGUE
Ayala 3, Diamond Bar 0
Jessica Hall recorded her 10th shutout of the season in the Bulldogs' win over Diamond Bar. Hall only allowed two hits and struck out seven for Ayala (18-10-1, 6-3).

Chino Hills 5, Chino 3
The Huskies (17-10, 7-3) scored five times with two out in the fifth inning against the Cowboys (14-15, 3-7) to remain in the race for first with Ayalafor the Sierra League title.
Katie Manchester doubled twice for Chino Hills and batted in two runs while Stephanie Thompson also had a RBI in the pivotal inning.
