HAWKS SEASON ENDS

La Mirada scored the final seven runs of its CIF-SS Division III wild card game with Arroyo Valley, eliminating the visiting Hawks 11-4 Wednesday.
The first playoff game in Arroyo Valley history was going ok, as the game was tied 4-4 through four innings. Arroyo Valley gave up two in the fifth and had a third out to that inning reversed by an umpire.Senior Zach Sumpter drove in two runs and scored once to lead Arroyo Valley in their last game of the season.

DIVISION III WILD CARD
Garey 18, Palmdale Knight 2
Vincent Velasquez drove in five runs and scored four times to lead the Vikings (15-11) past the Knights.
Dino Mares drove in four runs and scored twice for the Mt. Baldy League runner-up.
Garey advances to the first round, where it will play at Sherman Oaks Notre Dame on Thursday at 3:15 p.m.
