NORCO STAYS ALIVE

Teagan Gerhart struck out 15 and we<NO><NO1>nt 2-for-3, scoring a run for the Cougars (28-5).
Brianna Smith drove in three runs for Norco, which will play Hart in Thursday<NO><NO1>'s quarterfinals.
DIVISION II
Ayala 5, Mission Viejo 3
Jessica Hall pitched a six-hitter for the Bulldogs (22-10-1). Mary Maffei had two hits and three RBI and Allie Farmakis had two hits.
Ayala will now face El Modena on Thursday in the quarterfinals at a site to be determined by a coin flip today.
DIVISION III
Cajon 4, Fullerton 3
On the road, Cajon fell down 3-0 in the first inning but pitcher Terilyn Boude settled in, giving up just two more hits the rest of the game and Alex Mitchell's two-RBI triple was the highlight in the fifth inning of the comeback victory.
Mitchell, who finished 2-for-4 against Cal State Fullerton-bound pitcher Katey Laban scored the go-ahead run on a ground out by Lindsey Kent.
Brehanna Rodrigues went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases for Cajon, which will play.
Cajon reaches the quarterfinals against Rancho Alamitos on Thursday.
DIVISION IV
Pomona Catholic 5, Chaminade 1
Mandee Camargo went 4-for-4 with an RBI and Shelby Reis hit a fifth-inning grand slam to lead Pomona Cathloic (18-12) into the quarterfinals.
Tori Sadlak didn't allow an earned run or a walk, struck out seven and gave up six hits in a complete game for the Christian League champs.
Chaminade finished the season with a 16-11 record. Pomona Catholic will face the winner of Lompoc and No. 1 seed La Quinta on Tuesday.
