            <title>05.20.08 BASEBALL ROUNDUP</title>
            <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>REV ADVANCES TO QUARTERFINALS FOR FIRST TIME IN SCHOOL HISTORY</strong></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Matt Andriese struck out six and only allowed four hits in Redlands East Valley's 8-1 win over Temecula Valley in a CIF-SS Division II second round baseball game. <br />Ryan Boeger went 2-for-3 with two RBI for REV (24-3, 12-2), which advanced to the quarterfinals for the first time in school history.<br />Redlands East Valley will play host to Oxnard at 3:15 p.m. Friday<br /></p>
<p><strong>Upland 9, Katella 4<br /></strong>Scott Frazier provided key hits in his first two at bats to give Upland a big lead early. His double in the first scored a run and his triple in the third cleared the bases. Upland led 9-0 in the third inning. <br />The Highlanders (20-6) will travel to Palos Verde on Friday for a quarterfinal matchup.<br /></p>
<p><strong>Oxnard 6, Chino Hills 2<br /></strong>Ray Romero had two hits, but the Huskies were held to seven total hits and couldn't get by Oxnard. Chris Sulcer had a double for the Huskies (19-10).</p>
<p>Chino Hills was held to seven hits.</p>
<p><br /><strong>DIVISION VI<br />Bloomington Christian 3, Windward 2<br /></strong>Eddie Matos of Bloomington Christian (17-6) drove in the go ahead run in the fifth to break a 1-1 tie&lt;NO1&gt;deadlock&lt;NO&gt;. Matos pitched the final three innings to preserve the win.<br />Bloomington Christian will play again Friday.<br /></p>
<p><strong>Big Bear 11, Pasadena Poly 3<br /></strong>Jesse Ceron pitched a complete game, only giving up one earned run in the Bears' (20-4) victory.<br /></p>
<p><strong><u>UPLAND CHRISTIAN STORMS THROUGH</u></strong></p>
<p><strong>Upland Christian 18, North County Christian 1<br /></strong>Ethan Chapman went 4-for-4 with five RBI, including a homer and two doubles as the Eagles (17-2) cruised past the Crusaders in a second-round game. <br />Matt Proulx went 3-for-5 with four RBI and struck out seven in recording the win on the mound, making him 9-2 overall.<br /></p>]]></description>

            <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>NORCO STAYS ALIVE</strong></p>
<p><strong>Norco 4, Camarillo 0<br /></strong>Teagan Gerhart struck out 15 and we&lt;NO&gt;&lt;NO1&gt;nt 2-for-3, scoring a run for the Cougars (28-5).<br />Brianna Smith drove in three runs for Norco, which will play Hart in Thursday&lt;NO&gt;&lt;NO1&gt;'s quarterfinals.<br /></p>
<p><strong>DIVISION II<br />Ayala 5, Mission Viejo 3<br /></strong>Jessica Hall pitched a six-hitter for the Bulldogs (22-10-1). Mary Maffei had two hits and three RBI and Allie Farmakis had two hits.<br />Ayala will now face El Modena on Thursday in the quarterfinals at a site to be determined by a coin flip today.<br /></p>
<p><strong>DIVISION III<br />Cajon 4, Fullerton 3<br /></strong>On the road, Cajon fell down 3-0 in the first inning but pitcher Terilyn Boude settled in, giving up just two more hits the rest of the game and Alex Mitchell's two-RBI triple was the highlight in the fifth inning of the comeback victory. <br />Mitchell, who finished 2-for-4 against Cal State Fullerton-bound pitcher Katey Laban scored the go-ahead run on a ground out by Lindsey Kent.<br />Brehanna Rodrigues went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases for Cajon, which will play. <br />Cajon reaches the quarterfinals against&nbsp; Rancho Alamitos on Thursday.<br /></p>
<p><strong>DIVISION IV<br />Pomona Catholic 5, Chaminade 1<br /></strong>Mandee Camargo went 4-for-4 with an RBI and Shelby Reis hit a fifth-inning grand slam to lead Pomona Cathloic (18-12) into the quarterfinals. <br />Tori Sadlak didn't allow an earned run or a walk, struck out seven and gave up six hits in a complete game for the Christian League champs. <br />Chaminade finished the season with a 16-11 record. Pomona Catholic will face the winner of Lompoc and No. 1 seed La Quinta on Tuesday.<br />[</p>]]></description>

            <title>05.16.08 SOFTBALL ROUNDUP</title>
            <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>EAGLES CRUSH TITANS</strong></p>
<p>Liz Santana went 3-for-4 with four RBI, including a three-run home run, to lead the Baseline League-champion Eagles (24-3) into the second round 12-1 defeat over Colony.<br />Santana's three-run shot was the big blow in a seven-run third inning for Etiwanda, which will play Glendora Tuesday. Maggie Karros struck out eight for the Eagles, only giving up three hits, while Jessica Garcia went 2-for-4 with an RBI.<br /></p>
<p><strong>DIVISION III<br />Cajon 5, Palmdale Knight 3<br /></strong>Lindsey Kent's three-run homer in the first inning set the tone for Cajon, which never lost the lead.<br />Kent finished 2-for-3 with four RBI and Alex Mitchell scored two runs for the Cowgirls.<br />Cajon will play Fullerton on Tuesday, a rematch of the 2006 CIF championship game, which Cajon won. The home team will be determined by coin flip today.<br /></p>
<p><strong>Colton 4, Lake Elsinore 0<br /></strong>&gt;Samantha Powell and Vanity Martinez each had two hits and an RBI for the Yellowjackets (19-7), co-champions of the San Andreas League. <br />Clarissa Molina allowed three hits, struck out nine and walked one. <br /></p>
<p><strong>Garden Grove 1, Kaiser 0<br /></strong>The Cats (18-9) fell in eleven innings via a error despite the pitching performance of Alyssa Palomino, who struck out 11 in her complete game. <br />Although she gave up 13 hits, she allowed no walks and no earned runs for the&nbsp;Sunkist League champs.<br /></p>
<p><strong>DIVISION IV<br />Pomona Catholic 2, Warren 1<br /></strong>Tori Sadlak doubled in Breanna Flores for the game-winning run with no outs in the bottom of the seventh. Then Sadlak later scored the insurance run for the Pacers (17-12). <br />Sadlak also recorded the win in the circle striking out eight with no walks. Her one run was unearned.<br /></p>
<p>&nbsp;<br /><strong>Segerstrom 2, Ontario Christian 1<br /></strong>Lexi Thomas allowed three hits and struck out four for the Knights (13-15).<br />Segerstrom scored its only two runs in the first inning.<br /></p>
<p><strong>DIVISION V<br />San Dimas 4, Rim of the World 1<br /></strong>The Fighting Scots (19-2) won their first league title since 1988 this season, going 14-0 in the Mojave River League. The title was also Rim's third in school history&lt;NO&gt;. But the Scots could not solve the Saints (18-9), who won a wild-card game 18-0 over Twentynine Palms on Wednesday to advance to the opening round.<br />Two unearned runs in the third inning and a pair of home runs off Erica Prentice (18-1) bedeviled the Scots. Prentice, a junior, allowed four hits, struck out six and walked one.<br />Freshman Elizabeth Caporuscio had a double for Rim and Kat Kolde had two hits and an RBI.</p>

            <title>05.16.08 BASEBALL ROUNDUP</title>
            <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>REV WINS IN SHUTOUT</strong></p>
<p>Division II No. 1 seed Redlands East Valley defeated Redondo 4-0 in a first-round game Friday.<br />REV had a pair of two-run rallies, keyed around a triple. Eric Boeger tripled home Josh Salmon in the second and scored in Chatwood's single. In the sixth, Eric Young tripled in David Andriese and scored on Ryan Burcroff.<br />Chatwood needed just 71 pitches in his gem, walking two and hitting a batter.<br /></p>
<p><strong>Chino Hills 6, San Luis Obispo 3<br /></strong>The Huskies (19-9) scored three runs in the sixth inning to break a tie, taking advantage of two of three errors by the Tigers (21-6).<br />Chris Carlson hit a sacrifice fly to wrapup the scoring. In the third inning, Garrett Eichmann, Ray Romero and Zach Collier each batted in runs in support of winning pitcher JohnMontoya.<br />Collier, Romero, Matt Lowenstein and Jordan Gomez each had two safeties in the Huskies' 17-hit attack.<br /></p>
<p><strong>Alta Loma 3, Camarillo 2<br /></strong>Senior Colby Gurney pitched a complete game, scattering eight hits and striking out three as the Braves (19-6) edged Camarillo.<br />The Braves scored lone runs in the first, second and third innings and made it hold up for the win.<br />Brad Fraily led the offense, going 2-for-2 with a double and an RBI.<br /></p>
<p><strong>DIVISION IV<br />Diamond Ranch 3, Santa Monica 2<br /></strong>Derek Goodwin's RBI single tied the game at two, then it was Jericho Kelsey's RBI that won the game in the seventh inning for the Panthers (14-11).<br />Kelsey's double scored Kyle Lenguel for Diamond Ranch. This marks the first ever playoff victory for the Panthers in their second post season apperance.</p>]]></description>

            <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>CATS PROWL TO SECOND ROUND</strong></p>
<p>The Cats (21-5-1) broke open a scoreless duel in the sixth inning at home as Malcolm Lee and Marcos Ramos delivered run-scoring hits against the Aztecs (15-10). Kaiser broke open a scoreless game in the sixth with run-scoring hits from Malcolm Lee and Marcos Ramos to defeat visiting Palm Desert 3-0 Thursday in a CIF-SS Division IV first-round baseball playoff game.<br />Kaiser's Ernie Rodriguez and Palm Desert's Nick Baker matched scoreless innings until the sixth. Frankie Valenzuela singled for the Cats (21-5-1) in that inning and moved up when Zach Tapia was hit by a pitch. Lee and Ramos knocked both players in, while &lt;NO1&gt;and a passed ball&lt;NO&gt;Lavell Mann was also hit a pitch to force in the third run.<br />Rodriguez scattered four singles and did not allow a runner past second. He retired 14 of the last 16 Aztecs (15-10) he faced, and he picked off the pair that reached first.<br /></p>
<p><strong>DIVISION V<br />Azusa 8, Aquinas 5<br /></strong>Aquinas took an early 2-0 lead, but the game slipped away late as Azusa scored five in fifth and three more in the sixth to seal the victory.<br />A bases-loaded, infield pop-up broke the game open in the sixth. The ball dropped and the runner from third scored. The runner from second followed after an errant throw to home plate got away.<br />Joe Bigler had a double and Jimmy Jones a triple in the losing effort for Aquinas.<br /></p>
<p><strong>Sultana 6, Duarte 1<br /></strong>Trevor Haas drove in two runs and scored one for the Sultans (19-6). Mike Mierish earned the victory on the mound for his seventh straight victory for Sultana, which advanced to the second round for the third year in a row.<br /></p>
<p><strong>DIVISION VII<br />Upland Christian 19, Ventura Christian 0<br /></strong>Matt Johnston (7-2) threw a no-hitter, with 13 strikeouts, and the Eagles (16-10) scored in five different innings to eliminate the Stars (7-11).<br />Ethan Chapman had three hits, including a homer, and batted in five runs to lead a 11-hit attack. James Spraggins batted in two runs on two hits while Richie Pastor had three hits and three RBI.<br /><br /></p>]]></description>

<p><strong>Colony 7, Valley View 3<br /></strong>Andasha Moore slapped a two-run double in the second inning to give the Titans (13-9-1) a lead Jordan Sauceda never surrendered against the Eagles (16-14).<br />Sabrina Cavanaugh added another two-run double in the third and the Titans closed it out with a three-run sixth, two runs coming on a single by Ariel Lopez.<br /></p>
<p><strong>Chaffey 1, Long Beach Poly 0 (8)<br /></strong>Rebecca Greenwood hit a walk-off single with the bases loaded, driving in Megan Centeno with two outs in the bottom of the eighth inning for the Tigers' (14-6) victory against the Jack-Rabbits.<br />Syvannah Kooyman struck out 11 in her complete game only allowing two hits for Chaffey, which advances to the first round.<br /></p>]]></description>

<p>Keith Rossman had 21 kills to lead the Claremont boys volleyball team to the quarterfinals.<br />The Wolfpack (27-4), which won by game scores of 25-22, 18-25, 25-22, 25-21, will face the winner of No. 1 seed Valencia and Villa Park on Friday.<br />Geoff Powell had 11 kills and Andrew Zetterberg and Patrick Stalwick had eight kills each.             <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>HAWKS SEASON ENDS</strong></p>
<p>La Mirada scored the final seven runs of its CIF-SS Division III wild card game with Arroyo Valley, eliminating the visiting Hawks 11-4 Wednesday.<br />The first playoff game in Arroyo Valley history was going ok, as the game was tied 4-4 through four innings. Arroyo Valley gave up two in the fifth and had a third out to that inning reversed by an umpire.Senior Zach Sumpter drove in two runs and scored once to lead Arroyo Valley in their last game of the season.</p>
<p><strong>DIVISION III WILD CARD<br />Garey 18, Palmdale Knight 2<br /></strong>Vincent Velasquez drove in five runs and scored four times to lead the Vikings (15-11) past the Knights.<br />Dino Mares drove in four runs and scored twice for the Mt. Baldy League runner-up.<br />Garey advances to the first round, where it will play at Sherman Oaks Notre Dame on Thursday at 3:15 p.m.<br /></p>

            <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>ARROWHEAD LEAGUE<br />Sherman Indian 18, Upland Christian 12<br /></strong>The Highlanders (18-8-1, 9-1) settled for a tie for first in league with the regular season finale loss to Sherman Indian (12-8, 6-1). <br />Destinee Duncan finished 3-for-4 with 4 RBI including a double and a home run for Upland Christian while Amanda Angel and Bri Remlinger each hit 2-for-4.<br /></p>
<p><strong>CHRISTIAN LEAGUE<br />Aquinas 3, Pomona Catholic 1<br /></strong>Stevie Goldstein struck out eight and allowed two hits and no earned runs as the Falcons (18-7, 6-4) defeated the first-place Pacers.<br />Catelyn Ogle drove in a run for third-place Aquinas.<br />Both teams wait their opponents in the CIF division IV playoffs.<br /></p>
<p><strong>MOJAVE RIVER LEAGUE<br />Rim of the World 2, Hesperia 1<br /></strong>Erica Prentice homered and concluded the regular season with a perfect 18-0 pitching record, a first for the Fighting Scots (19-1, 12-0) in their win over the second-place Scorpions (15-9, 7-5). <br />Prentice struck out nine in the victory for the Mojave River league champions. <br />Rim of the World ended the regular season with a undefeated league record for the first time in school history and now await their CIF division V pairings this Sunday.<br /></p>
<p><strong>MT. BALDY LEAGUE<br />Montclair 4, Chaffey 3<br /></strong>Montclair knocked Chaffey into second place with an upset on the final day of the regular season.<br />Liz Castaneda went 3-for-3 with two RBI for the Cavaliers (9-18, 5-10) and Zolie Velasquez hit a two-run home run to give Montclair a 4-1 lead in the fifth inning.<br />Chaffey fell to 12-3 in league and behind first-place Don Lugo.<br /></p>
<p><strong>SAN ANDREAS LEAGUE<br />Arroyo Valley 5, Pacific 1<br /></strong>Chelsea Parker doubled in two runs in the third inning as the Hawks (6-16, 5-9) clinched fourth with the season-ending win over the Pirates (5-16, 3-11).<br />Ardrena Boykins had two doubles and Angelica Diaz doubled in support of Sammi Peters, who scattered three singles.<br /></p>
<p><strong>Colton 17, San Bernardino 0 (5)<br /></strong>Krystal Lucero went 2-for-3 with six RBI, including a grand slam in Colton's rout. <br />Clarissa Molina went 3-for-3 with three RBI for Colton (18-7, 13-2) and Eileen Garcia (10-3) struck out 10 in the five-inning game.<br /></p>
<p><strong>Cajon 16, San Gorgonio 0 (5)<br /></strong>Catcher Lindsey Kent had doubles in her first three at-bats and drove in eight runs to lead the Cowgirls (20-6, 14-1) to the season-ending rout.<br />Alex Mitchell scored four runs and drove in two, giving her Cajon's single-season RBI record with 42. The Spartans (11-12, 9-6) will await their playoff opponent, as will Cajon.<br /></p>
<p><strong>SIERRA LEAGUE<br />Ayala 2, Diamond Bar 1<br /></strong>Stephanie Martinez tripled in two runs in the fourth and Jessica Hall (19-9-1) made it stand as the Bulldogs (19-10-1, 7-3) edged the Brahmas ((10-15-1, 2-8).<br />Losing pitcher Erica Miller doubled in the lone run for Diamond Bar.&lt;NO&gt;&lt;NO1&gt;<br /></p>
<p><strong>NONLEAGUE<br />Big Bear 17, Citrus Hill 9 (5)<br /></strong>Winning pitcher Janae LaPierre slammed a pair of homers and had five RBI and Megan Westover hit a grand slam as the Bears (16-7) prepared for the playoffs in a shorten game against the Hawks.<br />Syndree Rawlings had two hits and two RBI for Big Bear, which had eight extra base hits among its total of 17.<br /></p>]]></description>

            <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>PIRATES' END SEASON&nbsp; WITH WALKOFF</strong></p>
<p>Junior David Kiriakos hit a walk-off, three-run homer in the bottom of the seventh inning with two outs for Pacific, which denied the Hawks second place in the San Andreas League and knocked the Hawks down to third place.<br />Chase Phillips drove in a run, hit two doubles and scored twicehad two runs, two doubles and an RBI for the Pirates, who ended their seasonThursday.<br />Despite the loss, Zach Sumpter drove in two RBI and scored once for Arroyo Valley (18-8, 9-6), which clinched a playoff berth for the first time in the seven-year school history. The CIF Division III playoffs pairings come out on Monday.<br /></p><strong></strong>

<p><strong>CHRISTIAN LEAGUE<br />Ontario Christian 9, Loma Linda 5<br /></strong>Junior Clay Kindred (5-1) pitched his second straight complete game, striking out 11 and scattering nine hits to lead the Knights (17-10, 8-4).<br />Bobby Nigg led the offense, going 3-for-4 with two runs scored. Scott Gutman added two hits with an RBI.<br />The highlight for the Roadrunners (5-18, 0-12) was a three-run home run by Parker Arnold in the fifth.<br /></p>
<p><strong>MIRAMONTE LEAGUE<br />Diamond Ranch 3, Charter Oak 1<br /></strong>Mike Vinnitsky had an RBI triple and scored once for the Panthers (13-11, 7-5) over the Chargers (12-11, 9-3) to clinch a playoff berth as the third place team in the Miramonte League.<br />Diamond Ranch will now await their CIF division IV pairings Monday.<br /></p>
<p><strong>MOJAVE RIVER LEAGUE<br />Sultana 6, Apple Valley 4<br /></strong>Robert Vindiola batted in three runs, two on a triple, as the Sultans (18-6, 9-3) won their first league championship in 13 years with the decision over the Sun Devils (3-18, 1-11).<br />Ryan Wolf added two RBI on two hits and Wade Hightower had two hits and one RBI for the winners, who gave Mike Miersh his sixth win of the year without a loss.<br /></p>
<p><strong>MT. BALDY LEAGUE<br /></strong>Montclair 4, Chaffey 3 <br />Jeremy Weber went 2-for-3 with three RBI for Montclair, which led 3-0 after the first inning.<br />Drew Orantes went 2-for-3 with an RBI for the Cavaliers (9-16, 5-10).<br />Chaffey fell to 7-18 overall, 3-12 in league.<br /></p>
<p><strong>Garey 6, Colony 3<br /></strong>Senior Sammy Garcia went 2-for-3 with two RBI and junior Dino Mares had two RBI as the Vikings (12-3, 14-7-2) surged past the Titans.<br />Vincent Velasquez gave up three hits, struck out three and walked one. He gave up three runs but just one was earned. He got relief help from Raymond Parrilla who went the rest of the way and picked up the win.<br /></p>
<p><strong>SAN ANDREAS LEAGUE<br />Cajon 7, San Gorgonio 3<br /></strong>Justin Martinez had a two-run homer that broke a tie in the sixth inning sealing a Cajon victory over the second-place Spartans (18-7, 10-5).<br />Cajon completed the two-game sweep over the Spartans ensuring their back to back San Andreas league championship.<br />San Gorgonio finished second in the San Andreas League and the two teams will now await their CIF division III pairings that come out Monday.<br /></p>
<p><strong>SIERRA LEAGUE<br /></strong>Chino Hills 7, Chino 3<br />The Huskies (18-9, 10-5) won their fourth straight game and wrapped up the league championship by jumping out to a 7-0 lead over the Cowboys (14-12, 6-9).<br />Ryan Dunn had a two-run double for Chino Hills while Zach Collier and Jordan Gomez each had two hits. Taylor Jimenez and Danny Fernandez homered in the seventh inning for the Cowboys.</p>
<p><br /><strong>SIERRA LEAGUE<br />Damien 5, Glendora 1</strong></p>
<p>The Spartans (17-8, 9-6) finished&nbsp; second place with a win against the Tartans.<br />Junior Mark Garcia went the distance, giving up five hits and striking out three while walking two.             <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>IT TOOK 12 INNINGS, YET THE COUGARS PREVAILED</strong></p>
<p>Kyle Barry hit a go-ahead two-run single in the 12th inning to spur a six-run rally and clinch a playoff spot for Rancho Cucamonga, &gt;which scored six in the frame who defeated Alta Loma 11-5 in Baseline League action Wednesday.<br />Barry went 3-for-6 with two RBI and Danny McNabb 4-for-7 with two RBI for the Cougars (12-13, 7-8). <br />Alta Loma (17-7, 10-5) finished second in the Baseline League and Upland first behind first-place Upland.<br />Matt Page, who scored the game-winning run, went 3-for-7 with two RBI. The Cougars' John Brehaut (4-2) earned the win by allowing just one run over the final 8 innings. <br /></p>
<p><strong>BASELINE LEAGUE<br />Claremont 3, Los Osos 2<br /></strong>Senior Kevin Bosson (5-2) tossed his fourth complete game of the season, striking out 15 and walking one in the victory for the Wolfpack (13-12, 7-8)&lt;NO1&gt;eliminating the Grizzlies from playoff contention. However, Rancho Cucamonga's win later in the day eliminated the Wolfpack.<br />Matt Anderson's sixth-inning double broke a 2-2 tie with the Grizzlies (11-15, 6-9), who got a double from Arby Fields and a triple from Jake Hernandez.<br /></p>
<p><strong>Etiwanda 3, Upland 0<br /></strong>Joey Narez had an RBI triple and scored for the Eagles (11-14, 4-11).<br /></p>
<p><strong>CITRUS BELT LEAGUE<br />Redlands East Valley 14, Miller 8<br /></strong>Ryan Burcroff and Ryan Boeger each went 3-for-4 with three RBI and two runs scored for the Citrus Belt League-champion Wildcats (22-2, 12-1).<br />Tyler Chatwood earned the victory on the mound, striking out six and driving in a pair of runs to help his own cause.<br />David Palomino went 2-for-3 with a double and three runs scored for Miller.<br /></p>
<p><strong>Carter 3, Fontana 1<br /></strong>Tyler Spotville and Steve Landazuri stroked runs-scoring singles in the ninth to boost the Lions (15-11, 6-7) past the Steelers and keep their playoff hopes alive.<br />Jordan Williams started the uprising with a double and scored on a hit by Spotville, who then was driven home by Landazuri.<br />Doug Conrado (4-2) went the distance, striking out five and picking off two. He also worked out of a bases-loaded one out jam in the seventh by getting a double play.<br /></p>
<p><strong>Rialto 12, Redlands 3<br /></strong>Eric Hernandez slammed four hits, including a solo homer, and drove in three runs while winning pitcher Xavier DelaCruz had three RBI on two hits as the Knights (15-8, 9-4) scored the first five innings against the Terriers (11-13, 3-10).<br />Hector Padilla had four singles for Rialto and scored three times, while Nick Martinez had a double and two singles for the Knights.<br /></p>
<p><strong>Yucaipa 20, Eisenhower 0<br /></strong>Matt Collins went 3-for-4 with five RBI, including a grand slam, in the Thunderbirds' (18-8, 9-4) rout of the Eagles.<br />Adam Miller threw a one-hitter, striking out 12 for second-place Yucaipa, which plays at Carter Friday at 3:15 p.m.<br /></p>
<p><strong>SUNKIST LEAGUE<br />Kaiser 7, Jurupa Valley 6<br /></strong>Ernie Rodriguez scored on a wild pitch in the last of the seventh inning to give the Cats (19-5-1, 12-2) the win against the Jaguars (3-21, 3-11), which battled back after falling behind 4-0.<br />Rodriguez had a two-run single in the first and Mike Lopez added a RBI single for the Cats in the rally. Jasper Ramirez and Malcolm Lee each had two hits for Kaiser and Zack Tapia batted in two runs.<br /></p>
<p><strong>VICTORY LEAGUE<br />Bloomington Christian 16, Mesa Grande 3<br /></strong>Matthew Eshleman went 2-for-3 with two RBI and two stolen bases in addition to pitching a complete game for the Ravens (16-6, 10-2), who finished the regular season in second place.<br />Charles Fortis went 3-for-3 with an RBI for and George Pena had two triples and an RBI for the Ravens, who led 13-3 after three innings.<br /></p>

            <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>REV capitzlizes on Miller's largest error of season.</strong></p>
<p>Redlands East Valley capitzlized on a ninth-inning Miller error to take sole possesion of third place in the Citrus Belt League in 4-3 victory. Amy Nece lead off with a single and scored all the way from first after a throwing error made by Miller on a sacrifice bunt attempt by Megan Silva. Nece scored all four runs for the Wildcats (8-5 league) and Silva drove in a run.<br />Emily Kakuska hit two-run homer for Miller (7-6 league).</p>

<p><strong>Alta Loma 4, Upland 3<br /></strong>Jessica Gonzalez stroke a two-run walk-off homer for the Braves (15-10, 8-6), clinching a playoff spot in the process. against the Scots (16-7-1, 9-5) She had earlier knocked in two runs with a single in the third.<br />Upland (16-7-1, 9-5) took a 3-0 lead in the third, with two runs scoring on a double by losing pitcher Whitney Jones.<br /></p>
<p><strong>Etiwanda 17, Claremont 2<br /></strong>Eleven Eagles combined for 22 hits, including nine extra-base hits, in a runaway win. Etiwanda (21-3, 13-1) will play Upland Friday in its last game of the regular season. <br />Claremont (4-21, 2-12) trailed 7-0 after two innings.</p>
<p><strong>Rancho Cucamonga 4, Los Osos 3<br /></strong>The Cougars (10-13, 4-10) eliminated the rival Grizzlies (15-10, 6-8) from playoff contention, scoring four runs in the first two innings.<br />Adrienne Monka had a leadoff homer and an RBI double for the Cougars, while Caitlin King added two doubles. Brittany Brenner went 2-for-2 with a walk for Los Osos.<br /></p>
<p><strong>CITRUS BELT LEAGUE<br /></strong><strong>Redlands 8, Rialto 0<br /></strong>Andrea Torres had up two RBI and went going 2-for-2 from the bench after substituting in for the first-place Terriers (22-4, 12-0), who are currently on top of a C.B.L race.<br />Jessica Garcia also drove in a pair of runs and scored once for Redlands, which ends the regular season hosting Redlands East Valley Friday at Redlands at 3:15 p.m.<br /></p>
<p><strong>Fontana 4, Carter 1<br /></strong>Kayla Uphold had a no-hitter broken up by a bunt single by Rachel Varela in the seventh but the Steelers (18-9, 9-4) downed the Lions to clinch second place in the league.<br />Uphold struck out seven and didn't walk a hitter without a walk. She also knocked in a run offensively.<br />Erin Fernandez and Alyssa Rivera each went 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI.<br /></p>
<p><strong>Yucaipa 12, Eisenhower 2<br /></strong>The Thunderbirds (15-13, 7-6) let the bats loose against the Eagles, as they recorded six doubles, three coming from Katie Olinger. Olinger finished 4-for-4 with four RBI and a run scored.<br />Megan Allen went 2-for-3 with a homer and tripled in three runs also scored as many times for Yucaipa.</p>

            <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>SENIOR KNIGHTS PREVAIL OVER FALCONS.</strong></p>
<p>Alana Rodriguez went 2-for-3 and Morgan Marcos went 2-for-4 as the two seniors led the Ontario Christian softball team to a 5-3 win over visiting Aquinas on Senior Day.<br />Knights pitcher Lexi Thomas (11-10) picked up the win, allowing five hits and striking out nine as Ontario Christian (12-14 overall, 6-3 Christian League) broke a second-place tie in the league standings with the Falcons (17-7, 5-4).<br />Brittni Hernandez doubled in the loss for Aquinas, which ends its season at home against Pomona Catholic at 3:45 p.m. Thursday. Ontario Christian ends its season at Loma Linda Academy at the same time.</p>
<p><br /><strong>ARROWHEAD LEAGUE<br />Upland Christian 15, La Verne Lutheran 3<br /></strong>Tera Abbott hit for the cycle and battted in two runs as the Eagles (18-7-1, 9-0) scored in all but one inning against the Trojans (8-8, 4-5).<br />Kylie Edgemon collected a triple and homer with three RBI among her four hits, and Brei Remlinger added three hits. Shannon Thomas also homered for Upland Christian.<br /></p>

<p><strong>Pomona Catholic 4, Western Christian 3<br /></strong>Tori Sadlak drove in the game-winning run with a double in the bottom of the seventh as the first place Pacers (16-11, 9-0) defeated the Lancers. Sadlak also earned the victory in the circle, striking out seven for Pomona Catholic.<br />The Christian League champions have one game remaining until the start of the playoffs.<br /></p>
<p><strong>DE ANZA LEAGUE<br />Big Bear 9, Yucca Valley 7<br /></strong>Brittney Holden had two two-run homers, including a go-ahead dinger in the sixth, to lead the Bears (15-7, 12-0) to a regular season-ending victory over the visiting Trojans.<br /></p>
<p><strong>MT. BALDY LEAGUE<br />Colony 17, Garey 0<br /></strong>Kimberly Tagami struck out seven, only allowing four hits in her shutout win for the Titans (15-7, 8-7).<br />Sabrina Cavanaugh went 3-for-4 with a triple and two doubles, driving in two runs and scoring twice.<br /></p>
<p><strong>MOJAVE RIVER LEAGUE<br />Rim of the World 4, Hesperia 3<br /></strong>Freshman Elizabeth Caporuscio, who had hit a school-record fifth homer in the second inning, singled home the winning run for the Scots (18-1, 11-0) in the sixth against the Scorpions (15-8, 7-4).<br />Winning pitcher Erica Prentice, whose 17-0 mark is another school record, tied the game when she was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the sixth. That allowed Rim to overcome a two-run homer by Toni Schurtliff in the fifth.<br />Caporuscio had three hits and Kat Kolde added two for Rim, which wrapped up its first league title since 1987 last week.<br /></p>
<p><strong>SAN ANDREAS LEAGUE<br />Cajon 16, San Gorgonio 0<br /></strong>The Cowgirls (19-6, 13-1) wrapped up their sixth league championship in seven years by scoring in all seven innings and riding the two-hit pitching of Sharon Estrada and Terilyn Baude, who combined for 11 strikeouts against the Spartans (11-11, 9-5).<br />Alex Mitchell had four hits for the Cowgirls and batted in five runs, while Estrada also collected four hits with three RBI. Lindsey Kent added a homer for Cajon.<br />Breja'e Washington, who had three hits, stole three bases to increase her season total to 34.<br /></p>
<p><strong>Arroyo Valley 11, Pacific 4<br /></strong>Chelsea Parker doubled and homered for two of her three hits and batted in two runs as the Hawks (4-16, 1-10) won their first league game by beating the Pirates (5-16, 3-11).<br />Sandy Thur collected two hits for the Hawks, who broke open a 2-1 game with four runs in the fourth and five in the last two innings. Nicole Mitchell added a two-run home run and Alex Ruvio drove in two runs for Arroyo Valley.<br />Dalia Dena had two hits for Pacific.<br /></p>
<p><strong>SIERRA LEAGUE<br />Ayala 3, Diamond Bar 0<br /></strong>Jessica Hall recorded her 10th shutout of the season in the Bulldogs' win over Diamond Bar. Hall only allowed two hits and struck out seven for Ayala (18-10-1, 6-3).<br /></p>

            <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>Langwasser's&nbsp;WALK-OFF GRAND SLAM GIVES HUSKIES LEAGUE TITLE.</strong></p>
<p>Kenny Langwasser hit a walk-off grand slam, clinching the Huskies' first Sierra league title in the school's five-year history by defeating Chino 8-4.<br />Travis Mosler earned the victory in his one inning of relief, improving his record to 4-2. Phil Hollinsworth drove in two runs on his double in the seventh for the newly crowned Sierra League champions.<br />Chino can still clinch a playoff spot if it defeats Chino Hills Thursday at Chino.<br /></p>
