Daniel Sandoval went four solid innings to earn his first win and Joel Ortega came in relief to pitch the fifth and sixth as the Falcons (1-0) opened the season with a win.
Sandoval (1-0) also went four for four at the plate with six RBI’s and two doubles. Ross Johnston, Sergio Garcia and David Hernandez also recorded double’s for Duarte.
Grant Goldsmith contributed to the offense going two for three at the plate.
Duarte recorded 10 hits to five hits for San Gabriel. With the loss, San Gabriel dropped to 0-2.
