The high-flying Anderson broke onto the scene during track season last spring and seems ready for a break-out year on the football field. After starting at tight end as a junior, he'll be Taft's go-to receiver, stepping into USC-recruit Jamere Holland's shoes.

As impressive as he is physically --the 6-foot-2, 180-pound senior developed into one of the top hurdlers in the country last year -- teammates have started calling him ``Rice,'' as in Jerry Rice, because of his soft hands...
