Canyon had a great opportunity to get on the board early, but could manage just four yards on a run by JJ DiLuigi and two straight incompletions by Ben Longshore. The Cowboys were well within field goal range, but Harry Welch wanted more. He left the offense on the field on 4th and 6 from the Moorpark 16 but Longshore was long again and Moorpark took over on downs.
