Rio Mesa of Oxnard receiver/defensive back Josh Harrison has verbally committed to Utah, passing up on offers from Nevada-Reno and Boise State.

Harrison finished with 40 receptions for 876 yards and 10 touchdowns for the Spartans last season to go along with two interceptions.

Harrison, who is projected as a defensive back in college, is also considered one of the top prep long jumpers in the state.
