Wrestling: CIF Northern/Central Master's qualifiers

The Golden and Mission Leagues will also be represented at the Mater’s Meet Feb. 23 and 24 in Rialto.

The Northern Division individual tournament at Pacifica High in Oxnard produced six qualifiers, including two champions in Lancaster’s Jeff Merrill (112) and Highland of Palmdale’s Greg Burton (125). Ryan Gifford (160) also qualified for the Bulldogs while Quartz Hill qualified Russell Carlin (171) and Jason Fonzi a heavyweight. Palmdale is sending Giovanni Seurran a heavyweight.

Crespi’s Gary Espinosa Jr. clinched the 130-pound division title at the Central Division individual tournament at Brea Olinda High while Harvard-Westlake’s Matt Katz (152), Alemany’s Gabriel Camarillo (215) and Brentwood of Los Angeles’ Anthony Micelli (140) also qualified.
