Birmingham's Rivera commits to Oregon

Mychal Rivera, a junior tight end from Birmingham High of Van Nuys, has committed to an Oregon football scholarship after an unofficial visit this past weekend. He caught 21 passes for 203 yards this past season to help the Patriots to a City Section title.
