Canyon's King inks late D-I football scholarship

| | Comments (0) |

Here’s a good comeback story: After taking a year off from football during his junior year in 2005 to contemplate his athletic future, Canyon High defensive back Anthony King has come back in a big way, signing a Toledo football scholarship after a great senior season.

“After my initial reaction, it’s actually turned out to be a good choice in the long run (to take the year off),” said King’s mother, Sheila.

King leaves tonight.

“I’m going to miss him a whole lot. He’s my baby,” she said.
