HS FOOT: Hart 14, Loyola 0 halftime

| | Comments (0) |

It's homecoming night at Hart High, and the Indians are up 14-0 vs. Loyola of L.A., at halftime.

Loyola lost a fumble on its first play from scrimmage when Dustin Rosenberg caught a short pass and coughed up the football, and Tyler Wachter recovered on the Loyola 19.

Hart soon converted on Delano Howell’s 1-yard touchdown to stake a 7-0 lead.

Hart took advantage of another turnover to pull ahead 14-0 with less than a minute remaining before halftime. Loyola’s Stephen Rokus was stripped by Demetri Diamond, and Keith Komrie recovered at the Loyola 31.

Seven plays later, B.R. Holbrook scored on a 1-yard run.

Hart limited Loyola to 77 yards and four first downs in the first half.

Perhaps Hart would have been more productive in the first half, but the Indians committed eight penalties for minus-45 yards.
